Bomb threat found at Chancellor Middle
UPDATE 2:59 p.m. At 1:20 p.m. today, a student found an innocuous note in the boys bathroom at Chancellor Middle School, said Capt. Jeff Pearce, spokesman for the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office. Students were evacuated from the buildings and a search was conducted by K-9s and deputies.
UPDATE 2:47 p.m. Chancellor Middle School and High School have been cleared and students are being allowed back in the buildings.
Chancellor Middle School parents and students are being evacuated after a bomb threat was found written on a wall at the school, according to a post on School Board Member Amanda Blalock’s Facebook page.
The Spotsylvania Sheriff’s department is on the scene.
Chancellor High School has also been evacuated. Both schools are being checked at this time.
