Couple charged in home break-ins
A Spotsylvania County couple is charged in connection to a series of residential break-ins in two counties.
Daniel W. McFadden, 25, and Amanda A. Thresher, 25, both of the 2800 block of Partlow Road, are charged with multiple counts of breaking and entering and larceny.
Lt. Chris Whitley, spokesman for the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, said the two are linked to nine cases in the Beaverdam and Montpelier areas of Hanover. The two are also charged in a case in Spotsylvania. Investigations are also underway in Louisa and Carolina counties.
The break-ins usually occurred in the daytime and on weekends to unoccupied homes, he said. Jewelry and weapons were usually stolen, he said.
Whitley said investigators continue to work to recover the stolen items and will try to return them to the rightful owners.
McFadden is being held at Rappahannock Regional Jail in Stafford. Thresher is being held at Pamunkey Regional Jail in Hanover.
