Police probe break-in at Radio Shack in Stafford County
By KEITH EPPS
Stafford County authorities are asking for help solving a break-in and theft at a county electronics store.
On Sunday about 3:27 a.m., someone broke into the Radio Shack at 91 Washington Square Plaza in southern Stafford and stole 15 cell phones valued at nearly $10,000.
Deputy Tom Grasso responded to an alarm and found the front glass door shattered. A manager later showed up and noticed the missing cell phones.
Some employees at the nearby Walmart later reported suspicious activity that they noticed about an hour before the alarm went off.
Police spokesman Bill Kennedy said they were on break when they noticed a white male driving around the parking lot. Several times he stopped and pulled on the Radio Shack door.
