Winter Storm Watch issued for Fredericksburg region
A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for the Fredericksburg region.
The National Weather Service cautions that there is the potential for 5 inches or more of snow to fall from 4 a.m. through 11 p.m. on Tuesday.

Today’s forecast calls for a high of 55 with partly cloudy skies.
Tonight, clouds will increase and temperatures will drop into the upper 20s to around 30 degrees.
On Tuesday, snow is forecast to fall for much of the day with the temperature falling to about 20 degrees during the afternoon. Winds of 10 to 15 mph will gust up to 25 mph.
Snow is expected to taper off Tuesday evening and temperatures are expected to plunge into the single digits.
The outlook for Wednesday calls for sunny skies, but with a high of only 20 degrees.
