Orange seeks input on fire and rescue
Orange County residents will have a chance this week to voice opinions and point out problems relating to fire and emergency medical services provided by the county.
The Department of Fire and EMS will host a town hall meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the board meeting room of the Gordon Building, 112 West Main St.
A news release from the county said the meeting will provide an open forum for residents to discuss their concerns about fire and EMS service delivery with a fire study team.
The Board of Supervisors earlier asked the Virginia Fire Services Board to undertake a study of the Orange County’s Fire and EMS services.
The study will review several areas of responsibility within county organizations to maximize opportunities for improvement and overall enhancement of the quality and coordination of such services to the citizenry.
