Fredericksburg-area man sought in Prince William attack

A man known to frequent the Fredericksburg area is wanted in connection with a Prince William County abduction.

Police responded to the 12700 block of Dara Drive in Woodbridge at 6:12 p.m. Wednesday for a reported assault, according to a news release from the Prince William County Police Department.

The victim, a 28-year-old woman, told police that a man she knows entered her residence without permission and refused to leave.

She also told police that the man took her cellphone, punched her in the face and refused to let her leave the residence, the release said.

After a physical altercation, the woman was able to leave the home and contact police. She suffered minor injuries, police said.

The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

Roscoe Skinner, 50, of no known address but known to frequent the Fredericksburg area, is wanted for abduction, strangulation, domestic assault and battery, unlawful entry and grand larceny.

He is described as a black male with black hair and brown eyes. He weighs about 250 pounds and is 6 feet 4 inches tall. He drives a 2003 tan Cadillac with Virginia license plate WVF-8562.
