A gunman got away with an undisclosed amount of money after robbing two employees outside a King George County convenience store late Friday, police said.
Sheriff Steve Dempsey said the robbery took place about 11 p.m. at Dutch’s Mart on State Route 206. The employees had just closed the store and were walking toward their vehicles when they were approached by a man displaying a handgun.
Dempsey said the robber demanded and got money belonging to the store and was last seen running behind the store.
He was described as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s wearing dark clothing, including a dark stocking cap.
A police dog was brought to the area to help search for the robber, but he was not found.
