Bowling Green man charged with soliciting a minor
A Bowling Green man who was already facing charges for having sex with a minor is facing new charges in Caroline County.
Kyle Wayne Huffman, 20, was out on bond after being charged with having sex with an underage girl, said Caroline Sheriff Tony Lippa.
But he was recently arrested again on new charges after police say he attempted to arrange to have sex with a teenage girl online, who was actually a Caroline investigator.
Lippa said Huffman sent a friend request to a fictitious female on Facebook and asked the “girl” to have sex.
The investigator, while posing as the girl, asked him if he knew she was only 14 years old.
“Now I do,” Huffman replied on Facebook. “Laugh out loud. As long as you ain’t no snitch. It would be alright.”
Lippa said Huffman and “the girl” agreed to meet behind a Bowling Green gas station, where he was arrested.
Huffman is charged with use of a communication device to solicit a juvenile under 15 for sexual purposes and attempted carnal knowledge of a child.
During his arrest, Lippa said Huffman tried to throw away or hide his cellphone, which was used to solicit the sex acts, but it was recovered.
A court date is set in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, which is not released to the public.
