Authorities collecting old, unused medicine
The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration will collect old prescription medicine today for disposal.
Its purpose is to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding homes of potentially dangerous, expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
They will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the entrance of the Bowling Green Food Lion, 15432 Rogers Clark Blvd and at Ladysmith Medical Center, 18020 Jefferson Davis Highway, Ruther Glen.
The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
