Stafford NAACP candidate forum tonight
Local and state candidates hoping to represent Stafford County will participate in a forum this evening.
The Stafford County NAACP’s annual event is the only time this year all candidates will be in one place. No other debates are scheduled.
The forum will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Brooke Point High School, 1700 Courthouse Road. It could run until 10 p.m.
Candidates will include those for the Board of Supervisors in four of the county’s districts—Falmouth, Hartwood, Aquia and Garrisonville. School Board candidates from those districts will also be there, as well as candidates for the 2nd and 88th House Districts.
“The forum is designed to give Stafford residents a chance to learn more about those who seek to represent them. Each candidate will have the opportunity to discuss their priorities, and residents will have a chance to ask questions about issues that matter to them,” states a press release from the NAACP.
Robert Sarvis, the Libertarian candidate for governor, will also be present.
