Stafford road closing for sewer line work
Sewer line work will shut down Telegraph Road in North Stafford starting at 7 a.m. on Thursday.
The road is slated to be closed until next Wednesday, Oct. 2.
The closure will allow crews to install a sewer line, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Telegraph Road has two intersections with U.S. 1. The section of Telegraph that will be closed is at the southern intersection, near Aquia Creek.
Traffic will need to use Woodstock Lane to get to U.S. 1.
The sewer line work is part of a project to replace the 88-year-old U.S. 1 bridge over Aquia Creek.
The $5.5 million project started in December and is scheduled to be completed in August 2015.
