A Stafford County man was arrested this week after his angry girlfriend pointed out a stash of marijuana to police, court records show.

Jason Iran White, 37, is charged with distributing marijuana. He was placed in the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

According to an affidavit for a search warrant filed in Stafford Circuit Court, deputies went to an apartment in Garrison Woods Thursday for a reported domestic disturbance.

The girlfriend said that her boyfriend, White, had been breaking items in her home and had marijuana in his vehicle.

When deputies arrived, the woman told them that White had shown her a bag containing marijuana, the affidavit states.

She said White told her that he was selling the marijuana to make money for them.

A deputy asked White if he had anything illegal in his 2005 red Cadillac and White responded that he didn’t know, court records state.

Suddenly, without being asked to, the girlfriend opened the car, retrieved the bag of marijuana and handed it to police.

The affidavit states that the bag weighed 285 grams, which is more than more than half a pound.

Numerous Ziploc bags and several cellphones were found during a subsequent search of the car, according to the affidavit.
