Two Spotsylvania men arrested, charged in abduction
(AP) Winchester police arrested two Spotsylvania County men at about 1 a.m. Friday and charged them with abduction.
Ethan Harold Clark, 23, and Andy Lewis Ralston Jr., 24, are being held in the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center without bond.
Clark and Ralston allegedly abducted a 26-year-old Maurertown man in a Sheetz parking lot on Millwood Avenue in Winchester at about 8 p.m. Thursday, police spokeswoman Lauren Cummings said.
She said officers were told the two men had gotten out of a white pickup truck, approached the victim, assaulted him and forced him into the truck’s cab. Eyewitnesses told police the pickup then headed northbound on Pleasant Valley Road at a high rate of speed.
Cummings said officers located the vehicle in the 300 block of Wood Circle about an hour later. She said the truck was parked in front of a house where they found the two men and the victim.
Cummings said the victim was being held in the house against his will. She said the assault and abduction were not random.
The victim was transported to Winchester Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The case is being investigated by the police department’s criminal investigations division.
