Robber pulls gun on man walking home
A 23-year-old Fredericksburg man was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday while walking home from a city store, police said.
The incident occurred about 10:15 p.m. in the 1000 block of Roffman Road, city police spokeswoman Natatia Bledsoe said. The victim reported that he was heading home from the 7–Eleven on Fall Hill Avenue when a man approached from behind and pushed the barrel of a gun against his torso.
The gunman demanded money, and the victim threw his wallet onto the ground.
The gunman grabbed the wallet, which contained more than $150, and ran off. A credit card and an identity card from another country were also in the wallet, police said.
The gunman was described as a black man in his 20s, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build. He has shoulder-length dreadlocks and was wearing dark clothing with something covering his face.
