Soliciting probe leads to series of arrests
Three area residents are among several people facing charges related to a sex-solicitation investigation in Prince William County.
Detectives with the Prince William County Police Department began the investigation Wednesday after receiving numerous complaints of men soliciting sexual acts at Locust Shade Park in Triangle, said Jonathan Perok with the police department.
“During the [two-day] investigation, undercover detectives made contact with suspects already inside the park and via online websites where the sexual acts were solicited by the suspects,” Perok said.
Incident locations within the park included parking lots, vehicles, bathrooms and park trails, he said.
The following people were arrested last week without incident and charged with frequenting a bawdy place, entering the property of another for the purpose of interfering with the property rights of the owner:
Larry Dean Hapner, 43, of Stafford; Mitchell Lester Bush, 76, of Ruther Glen; Salim Ahmed, 44, of Dumfries; David Aaron Lewis, 56, of Waldorf, Md.; and Mark Anthony Womack, 44, of Woodbridge.
Naveah Marie Jackson, 25, of Stafford is charged with indecent exposure and entering the property of another for the purpose of interfering with the property rights of the owner.
Each was issued a summons and released.
