Tattoo artist faces sex charges
BY PORTSIA SMITH / THE FREE LANCE–STAR
A Spotsylvania tattoo artist is accused of tattooing two juvenile girls in exchange for sexual favors, the county Sheriff’s Office reported Friday.
Joshua “Doc” Walacavicz, 25, of the 6000 block of Courtneys Lane is charged with one count of felony indecent liberties with a child, one count of felony object sexual penetration, two counts of misdemeanor tattooing a minor without parental consent and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
The investigation began after a parent of one of the girls complained to the Sheriff’s Office, said Capt. Jeff Pearce. The victims are ages 14 and 15.
“The investigation resulted from allegations that Mr. Walacavicz was trading sexual favors in return for tattooing two juvenile female clients,” Pearce said.
The incidents are alleged to have occurred at Walacavicz’s residence off Towles Mill Road near Spotsylvania High School.
Walacavicz was arrested by Spotsylvania detectives on Thursday. He is being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
