The Culpeper town police are looking for two men who are accused of attempting to steal more than $1,000 worth of sporting goods items and DVDs from Walmart on Friday.

After filling their shopping cart, the pair somehow made it past the checkout counters before being approached by store personnel in the parking lot, according to town public information officer Wally Bunker.

Abandoning the shopping cart, the duo then fled in the direction of Burger King, Bunker said.

Police say that one of the men wore a dark coat and white T–shirt while the other had on a mixed martial arts shirt.

Anyone who can identify these two men is asked to contact Detective Sgt. Jeff Dodson at 540/829-5526 or call Crime Solvers at 540/727-0300.
