Man charged following hit-and-run crash
A man is facing charges after a hit-and-run accident that caused a truck to overturn in Spotsylvania County.
Deputies responded to the intersection of Leavells and Courthouse roads at 5:25 p.m. Saturday for a call of an overturned truck, said Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Capt. Jeff Pearce. An investigation revealed the truck was hit by another vehicle, which left the scene, he said.
The driver of the overturned truck was transported to Mary Washington Hospital and was listed in good condition.
Pearce said the other vehicle was located a short time later and the driver was arrested.
Jose Garcia, 33, of Spotsylvania is charged with felony hit-and-run and driving on a suspended license. He is currently being held in Rappahannock Regional Jail.
