Work will close lanes on I–95 in Caroline
A lane in each direction on Interstate 95 will be closed in Caroline County overnight Thursday while crews prepare for work on the Route 605 bridge over the interstate, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
The closure is set to start at 6 p.m., with the lanes scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m. Friday. There also should be periodic closures on the bridge, which is Paige Road.
The bridge crosses the interstate at mile marker 115, just south of the Thornburg exit. Crews will be installing debris shields on the bridge as part of the deck-patching project, which is expected to start on Sept. 8.
