Lake of the Woods will open gates to visitors
Area residents will have the chance next weekend to explore Lake of the Woods when the gated community in Orange County holds an open house.
Visitors can check out the development’s amenities as well as tour a variety of homes currently for sale from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
“If people take advantage of this, it is a wonderful opportunity to interview the various Realtors,” said event chairwoman Brenda Rogers. “Normally, if I walk into a real estate office, I am assigned one particular Realtor, and that’s who I’ve got for the day. This way, if you are on the tour, you may connect with someone whom you feel you can really work with.”
On arriving at the LOW front gate on State Route 3, visitors will be given a special pass and directions to the community’s clubhouse. They will be asked to register, and volunteer LOW ambassadors will help them locate properties that meet their interests.
“There will be no Realtors or sellers at the Clubhouse,” Rogers emphasized.
Guests will be given a map to the homes, where they can talk to agents or selling owners.
All LOW amenities will be open, too.
“The visitors have the freedom to drive around and see whatever interests them. They may eat at the clubhouse, or the golf course Fareways grille. It’s not free, of course.
“After they go on tour, they are invited to come back to the clubhouse and have dinner if they wish. The deck is open, and now, in springtime, it is about as pretty as it gets.”
