Snow expected overnight in Fredericksburg

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Fredericksburg region from 8 p.m. Sunday through 2 p.m. Monday.
RELATED: Snow falling in Culpeper, surrounding counties.
The NWS cautions that 1 to 2 inches of snow could fall in the area during that time.
VDOT urges caution during the morning commute. It has crews mobilized to treat primary roads such as Interstate 95, U.S. 1, State Route 3 and U.S. 17 to keep all lanes open.
VDOT urges motorists to check travel conditions at 511Virginia, to reduce their speed and allow extra travel time.
