A two-story house under construction in the Seasons Landing subdivision of Stafford County was destroyed by fire Sunday evening, Stafford Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Chief Mark Doyle said.

The house was located on Sanctuary Lane off of Olde Concord Road. Three other houses on that street were damaged as a result of that fire, Doyle said.

No one was home at the one house that is occupied. The others were all in various phases of construction.

The fire was reported at 7:26 p.m. and when the first firefighters arrived the house was fully engulfed by flames, Doyle said.

Doyle did not have an estimate on the dollar value of the damage to the houses. The one that was destroyed was about 3,000 square feet and was a two-story structure with a basement.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No one was injured.
