Mishap on I-95 kills driver of big rig

The driver of a tractor–trailer died Saturday morning in a one-vehicle crash near Quantico on Interstate 95, authorities say.

Stafford Sheriff’s Office spokesman Bill Kennedy said the tractor–trailer hit a guard rail near exit 148 southbound about 10:45 a.m.,  ran off I–95  and overturned near Russell Road.

The Prince William County sheriff’s office, which also worked the accident, said the driver died at the scene.

The driver’s name was not released yet because relatives were being notified.
