Marine helicopters set to train here again tonight

So what was with the low-flying, loud helicopters that roused residents from Stafford to Massaponax last night?

Lt. Amanda Anderson from the Quantico Marine Corps Base said two CH53 Echo Super Stallion helicopters from Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in North Carolina were in the Fredericksburg region training with Marines from The Basic School at Quantico.

The helicopters returned to North Carolina last night, but will come back here tonight around 9 for the same sort of training – so you may hear and see the same thing tonight.
