Vacant house burns in Stafford

BY LINDLEY ESTES

No one was hurt in a residential fire that consumed a Stafford County home Saturday evening.

The first fire trucks from Stafford and Fredericksburg arrived at the scene around 5:30 p.m., said Mark Doyle, assistant chief for the Stafford County Fire and Rescue Department.

Flames were visible from the exterior of a two-story, single-family home at 206 Beechwood Court in the Brookewood Farms subdivision, Doyle said.

No one lived at the home, and no injuries were reported, he said.

Doyle said the fire was extinguished within 20 minutes. The fire marshal has not determined the cause.
