Juveniles charged in firearm thefts
Two teenagers are facing charges in connection to a home burglary in Spotsylvania County.
According to Capt. Jeff Pearce of the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, a home in the Cedar Ridge Drive area was broken into on Sunday and several firearms were stolen.
Pearce said 14 firearms, which included hunting rifles and semi-automatic weapons, were among those reported missing.
Detectives were able to recover three of the firearms so far, he said.
The teens, ages 16 and 17 who both reside in the Fredericksburg area, are charged with larceny of a residence and possession of stolen property.
The case is still under investigation.
