Two charged in assault on waitress

Two teenagers have been charged with beating up a waitress last week following an incident in which one of their friends was kicked out of a Fredericksburg restaurant for underage drinking, police said.
That incident occurred just before 1 a.m. on Jan. 25 at Buffalo Wild Wings in Central Park.
The waitress notified security after seeing an 18-year-old woman with an alcoholic beverage, and the teen was escorted out of the business.
The evicted teen’s friends later confronted the 19-year-old waitress. The waitress was beaten in the face and had chunks of her hair pulled out, according to police reports, before a 30-year-old Woodbridge man picked her up and moved her away from her attackers.
That same man also got the license tag number of the vehicle they left in, greatly assisting Detective Wayne Hunnicutt’s investigation.
Nakima Jiggetts, 18, of King George County and a 16-year-old Spotsylvania County girl were charged with assault, city police spokeswoman Natatia Bledsoe said.
Jiggetts was released on a personal recognizance bond on the misdemeanor charge. The juvenile was turned over to her guardians.
Police initially thought a third person was involved in the attack, but Bledsoe said the investigation revealed that that girl, also 16, was not involved in the assault.
