Man dies in accident in Orange

A 48-year-old Orange County man died early Thursday morning after his car ran off the road and struck a tree, according to Virginia State Police.

Thomas Leslie Reynolds was driving north on State Route 614 (Governor Almond Road) in a 2012 Ford Focus about 12:30 a.m. when his car veered off the right side of the road and into a tree about of a mile north of Route 611, said Sgt. F.L. Tyler.

Reynolds died at the scene, said Tyler. Trooper W.G. Rorrer is heading up the investigation into the cause of the accident, said Tyler.
