Spotsy probes report of shots fired

Spotsylvania County authorities are investigating reports of a shooting in the Breezewood area.

According to Lt. Steve Clem of the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office, a group of juveniles getting off of a school bus said they saw someone with a gun and that shots had been fired just after 3 p.m.

They described the gunman as a black male with dreadlocks in a white vehicle, Clem said.

Units have patrolled the area, but have been unable to determine if or where a shooting occurred, he said. No injuries or property damage has been reported.

Clem said deputies have questioned adults in the area, but no one else reported hearing any gunfire. He said the juveniles will be questioned further once their parents are located.
