Reckless driving charge follows morning I-95 accident
A Fredericksburg woman was charged with reckless driving in connection with a three-vehicle accident that backed up traffic on Interstate 95 this morning near Massaponax.
Sheniquka Holden, 22, of Fredericksburg was driving south on I–95 in the left lane when her Honda Civic lost control at 11:35 a.m., Virginia State Police Sgt. F.L. Tyler said.
The Honda struck a Ford Explorer in the center lane, then both of those cars hit a tractor-trailer in the right lane, he said.
The two cars then went to the left of the highway and struck a guardrail before the Ford Explorer overturned. Holden was transported to Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.
Nobody was seriously injured in the crash, said Tyler, adding that all of the drivers were wearing seatbelts.
Driver inattention caused the crash, he said.
Police blocked the left and center lanes after the accident, which was cleared a little after 1 p.m.
