A Maryland man is charged with driving under the influence after a vehicle crashed into a Spotsylvania County bank Friday night.
Authorities responded to the CapitalOne Bank in Harrison Crossings late Friday after being notified that an SUV had drifted off State Route 3 and crashed into the building.
The driver, 53-year-old Elbert Moss of Prince George’s County, Md. was charged with DUI and released on a summons after being transported to Mary Washington Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Capt. Jeff Pearce of the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office said the bank building would likely need significant repairs. He added that additional security will be on hand while that is being done.
No other injuries were reported.
