Demolition makes way for improved Falmouth intersection

Demolition of four buildings at the Falmouth intersection began this morning, with heavy equipment smashing through the old bank building and Republican headquarters on the corner of Butler Road and U.S. 1.

Construction on the $25-million project is scheduled to start in 2014. It could take two years to complete.
