Chancellor students donning green and white Friday to honor Sandy Hook
Chancellor High School’s student government is rallying the student body to wear green and white on Friday in support of the victims and survivors of the school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary.
Green and white are the school colors of the Newtown, Conn., elementary where 20 children and six adults were killed. The school’s mascot is the eagle.
Friday will be the one-week anniversary of the tragedy.
Chancellor High, like schools throughout Spotsylvania County, is having various activities to raise school spirit during this last week of classes before the Christmas break.
Spotsylvania students finish classes on Friday and resume on Jan. 2.
