Orange seeks suspect in burglary, attack
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help in the search for a suspect in a weekend burglary that left two people injured.
A Sheriff’s Office news release said deputies were called to a home on Porter Road around 3 a.m. Saturday. They found a man and woman who had been struck with a blunt object by an intruder who fled before the officers arrived, he said.
The release did not say how badly the victims were hurt. The release said investigators are looking for Robert Lee Knicely Jr., 37, in connection with the case. Knicely is described as white, about 6 feet tall and 220 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes.
Anyone who has information on Knicely’s whereabouts is asked to call the Orange County Sheriff’s Office at 540/672-1200. Anonymous tips are welcomed.
