Stafford man charged with child porn offenses

BY KEITH EPPS

A federal investigation into child pornography has resulted in state charges against a Stafford County man.
Christopher Michael Donohue, 35, of Stafford is charged with five counts of possession child pornography and five counts of reproducing child pornography.
Stafford Sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy said Stafford Detective Darryl Wells was contacted last month by agents with Immigration Customs Enforcement for his assistance in an ongoing investigation.
Court records show that federal officials had tracked a number of pictures featuring children in sexually explicit poses to a home on Clarion Drive in southern Stafford. The pictures included boys and girls and all of them appeared to be 12 years old and younger.
The federal investigation began early this year and involves overseas websites and a number of different suspects, court records indicate.
Police raided Donohue’s home recently and seized evidence. Donohue was arrested and later released on a $3,500 bond.
