Spotsy postpones interviews for new deputy administrator
The Spotsylvania County Board of Supervisors has canceled a meeting Thursday to interview three finalists for the deputy county administrator position.
The meeting was called off because not all supervisors could attend, according to a news release. It has not yet been rescheduled.
The county received 104 applications for the opening to replace Ernie Pennington, who retired as deputy county administrator at the end of October.
A subcommittee—which includes the HR director, the county administrator and Supervisors David Ross and Emmitt Marshall—is in the process of narrowing the applicant pool to three. That committee will meet privately on Thursday.
The entire Board of Supervisors will appoint the new administrator.
