BY PORTSIA SMITH
A Culpeper County man is charged with malicious wounding after a stabbing outside the Four-Mile Fork shopping center Saturday night.
Capt. Mike Harvey of the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a parking lot in the 5000 block of Jefferson Davis Highway outside Hard Times Cafe around 10 p.m.
When deputies arrived, the found a 27-year-old man with a single stab wound to his abdomen, Harvey said. He was transported to Mary Washington Hospital and treated for his injury, he said.
Robert Lee McLucas, 50, of Reva was identified as the suspect and charged with malicious wounding.
Harvey said McLucas pulled out a folding knife and stabbed the
victim during a fight.
It is unclear what caused the fight, and Harvey said he didn’t think the men knew each other before this incident.
McLucas was arrested without incident and was taken to the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
