Man says attacker put gun to his head
In a strange incident reported early Friday morning, a man who works at a downtown business said that an assailant put a gun to his head and threatened to shoot him.
The man said the assailant did not demand anything from him, but tossed a brick through the window of a business before fleeing.
Natatia Bledsoe with the Fredericksburg Police Department said they continue to investigate.
According to police, the victim said the incident happened at about 4 a.m. when he was walking in the 600 block of Caroline Street, headed toward Lafayette Boulevard.
He said a male approached from behind, put a gun to his head and threatened to shoot him.
The man told police that the assailant then picked up a brick and tossed it through a window of the Picket Post, which set off the alarm, according to the police report.
The man said the attacker then ran from the scene toward Sophia Street.
The victim described the assailant as a Hispanic male wearing a hoodie, shorts and knee-high white socks. He also had a mustache and short dark hair with some gray.
