Man held in shooting into Falmouth home
Police have arrested the 18-year-old man suspected of firing multiple shots into a residence in the 800 block of Anvil Road in the Olde Forge subdivision in Falmouth last weekend.
Stafford County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Bill Kennedy said Montreus Peterson of Woodford was taken into custody at 11:50 p.m. Wednesday.
Stafford deputies, with assistance from members of the Regional Violent Crimes Safe Street Task Force, located Peterson at a residence on Brown Circle off Ferry Road in southern Stafford.
Peterson was taken into custody without incident, and is being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail, Kennedy said.
He is charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling and reckless handling of a firearm. No one was injured. The nine residents in the home included two children.
The investigation into the incident Saturday night at the Falmouth town house development is ongoing and additional charges are possible, Kennedy said.
