Car crashes into downtown library wall
The 80-year-old driver of a car that crashed into a wall near the Central Rappahannock Regional Library Tuesday morning will not be charged.
According to Fredericksburg Police Department spokeswoman Natatia Bledsoe, ambulances were dispatched to the downtown library at 11:24 a.m. for reports of a car crashing through the rear wall of the library’s annex building.
Bledsoe said the 80-year-old female driver of a gray Toyota Camry suffered a minor head injury, but the woman refused medical attention.
The car did not enter the library building and library operations are continuing as usual, Bledsoe said.
No other injuries were reported.
Bledsoe said the woman, who is a downtown resident, will not be charged, but her driver’s license will go under an administrative review.
