No flashlights left at Ferry Farm Walmart
Many people are heeding warnings to stay off roads as fewer cars seem to be out than normal. Officials in Stafford’s Emergency Operations Center said this afternoon that staying home helps keep problems down. They’ve gotten fewer calls than expected, but expect the worst of Sandy is on its way.
Water is starting to pool on roadways though, including on Brooke Road.
The Ferry Farm Walmart in southern Stafford was mostly empty Monday afternoon as well. A few people had cases of water in their carts, and there was still some water on shelves. No more flashlights were available, though there were several displays of batteries. Overall, the store was quiet.
