Stafford authorities have released surveillance pictures they hope will help them identify two men who committed an armed robbery at a county conveniece store a month ago.
The robbery occurred late Sept. 3 at the 7-Eleven at 1 Commerce Parkway. Sheriff’s spokesman Bill Kennedy said two men entered the store about 11:45 p.m. and approached the counter.
Both men displayed handguns and demanded money from the clerk, Kennedy said. The startled employee placed the cash drawer on the counter and the two men grabbed the money and left the store.
Deputies and a police dog responded to the scene but were unable to find the robbers.
Both robbers were black. On was about 5 feet 8 inches tall, between 180 and 200 pounds and had facial hair and a partial beard. He had a tattoo with three teardrops on his right cheek and was carrying a silver handgun.
The other was about 6 feet tall and 175 to 185 pounds. He had a black shirt draped over his head and had a black handgun.
