Two sought after pursuit into Fredericksburg
Police are seeking two suspects who fled on foot after a police pursuit last night which ended in Fredericksburg, police said.
Around 10:15 p.m., State Police trooper E.S. Frye spotted a Chevrolet Impala on I-95 which matched the description of a vehicle involved in a criminal incident in D.C., said Corinne Geller of the Virginia State Police.
Police tried to stop the vehicle near the 152 mile marker in the southbound lanes, but the driver sped away and led police on a pursuit, exiting the interstate at Central Park, said Geller.
The vehicle crashed near the 7-Eleven on Fall Hill Avenue, and the suspects fled on foot, said Natatia Bledsoe of the Fredericksburg Police Department.
Police searched the area for the suspects, but did not find them, Geller said. The search was called off at 12:40 a.m.
