UMW ‘not happy’ about towings at Eagle Village
UPDATE: UMW says it will pay their towing fees.
Possibly more than one dozen vehicles have been towed from lots at Eagle Village today–and officials at the University of Mary Washington are not happy about it.
“We wanted the whole experience to be positive,” said Anna Billinglsey, associate vice president for university relations.
Parking officers were at the lot this morning at UMW’s request. But from Billingsley’s understanding, campaign workers who parked very early–before the lot was designated at 8:30 a.m. as event parking–may have been towed as well.
She said people may not have had sufficient information about where to park for Michelle Obama’s afternoon visit to the Anderson Center.
