Expect rolling roadblocks as First Lady Michelle Obama makes her way to the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg late this afternoon.
The Fredericksburg Police Department will be assisting with control of intersections as her motorcade arrives, but no road closures are planned, said Natatia Bledsoe, spokesperson for the police department.
Expect brief delays in the area just prior to and following her appearance.
Bledsoe urges those planning to park in surrounding neighborhoods to obey posted parking restrictions.
Parking update / clarification: If you want to park on UMW property, the school says, only the top deck of the parking deck off U.S. 1 is reserved for handicapped parking. Limited parking be available in Eagle Village.
