Cars towed from UMW’s Eagle Village

Fredericksburg Police spokesperson Natatia Bledsoe said at least 10 cars had been towed from UMW’s Eagle Village this afternoon, and a tow truck struck and damaged a parked car.

The University of Mary Washington is playing host to First Lady Michelle Obama, and the event is expected to draw a significant crowd.

According to UMW, “only the top deck of the parking deck off U.S. 1 is reserved for handicapped parking. Limited parking for the event will be available in designated space in Eagle Village.”

Bledsoe urges those planning to park in surrounding neighborhoods to obey posted parking restrictions.
