Two Orange County men are facing drug charges following a raid in which authorities seized marijuana plants with a street value of around $21,000.
The Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force, working with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and a state police aviation unit, conducted raids on two separate locations last Thursday.
According to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office, officers seized $10,500 worth of plants from a property on Cranberry Lane in Unionville. Jonathan Breeden, 22, was charged with possession of marijuana, according to the release.
Another $10,500 worth of marijuana plants was seized from a property on Gum Tree Road in Orange. Charges are pending against the owner, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The task Force is made up of sheriff’s deputies and police officers from Culpeper, Fauquier, Greene, Madison, and Orange counties and the towns of Culpeper and Orange, as well as as special agents from the Virginia State Police Drug Enforcement Section.
