Police release sketch of attempted abduction suspect
The Fredericksburg Police Department has released a sketch of the suspect in the Aug. 11 attempted abduction in Westmont subdivision.
The victim, a 22-year-old woman, was jogging on Westmont Drive near Highland Road when a man pulled up in a vehicle and said something to her.
The woman couldn’t understand what the man was saying, so she moved to the passenger’s side of the vehicle. The suspect then opened the passenger-side door and grabbed the woman, pulling her partially into the car, said police.
The woman was not injured, and was able to run away and call police.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 50s with a stocky build, short dark hair and an unshaven face. The victim reported that he had bad teeth and dirty fingernails, and he spoke limited English with a heavy accent.
He was driving an older white car with four doors and was last seen on Highland Road.
