A Spotsylvania man has been charged with multiple offenses following a sexual encounter that apparently started consensually and ended with violence, according to police and court records.

Bruce Sewell Kamer, 34, is charged with rape, sodomy, abduction, aggravated sexual battery and inanimate object penetration, Sheriff’s Capt. Mike Harvey said. Kamer was arrested Thursday by Detective Earle Swift and is being held in the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.

According to an affidavit for a search warrant filed in Spotsylvania Circuit Court, the incident began on July 21, and the victim told police that she and Kamer had begun what she thought was leading to consensual sex. He then suddenly forced her face down and strapped her arms and legs with straps he had attached to a mattress. She questioned what he was doing and Kamer replied, “something different.”

The affidavit states that the woman told Swift that she was beaten and raped repeatedly. She said she asked him numerous times to stop.

The woman said Kamer videotaped the attack while telling her to “be a good little porn star.”

The next morning, The woman said she later was tied up and sexually assaulted again. She finally got away after telling her attacker that she had to go to work, Harvey said.

The victim went to the Sheriff’s Office on July 23 and talked to Swift, who began an investigation.

Among the items seized from Kamer’s home were a laptop computer, a cell phone, a hanger and a sex toy.
