Car crashes through Fredericksburg home
No one was injured when the front end of a compact car crashed through a home at 608 Woodford Street in Fredericksburg last night. Around 9:42 p.m. Wednesday night, homeowner Bryan Stableford “heard what sounded like thunder” when the crash occurred in the Normandy Village area of the city.
When police arrived, the driver of the car was sitting on the front steps of the house and denied any injury, police said. Ashleigh Molina, 21, who lives in the Normandy Village neighborhood, is charged with DUI and reckless driving. Speed was also a factor in the crash, police said.
The incident was at least the second time this year a vehicle has crashed through a city residence. In May, a Fredericksburg woman was charged with reckless driving after police said she accidentally drove her Volkswagen Passat into a city apartment building.
